If you have recently joined the golfing world and are not familiar with what is in a general golf club set and what each club is used for, here is a general overview of what you could get:
Driver:
The driver being the biggest club in the entire set which is the club is commonly used off a tee.
Fairway Woods:
The fairway woods feature larger heads similar to the driver but are shallower with a lower sweet spot toward the bottom of the club. These clubs can sometimes be used off of the tee and off the ground like on the fairway.
Irons:
Irons come in a range from 1 to 9, in most sets, you will get a range from 5 to 9 which hybrids replacing the lower number irons. These have a reasonably thin face so it allows them to slice through numerous lies including sand and rough areas.
Hybrids:
These types of clubs combine elements of woods and irons to make a club that can hit the ball cleanly like the wood, but having a shallower face allows it to be played on tighter lies, just like an iron.
Putter:
Most popular club in the set. The putter has a flat face allowing it to be used to roll the ball along the ground towards the hole.
We cannot wait to see what 2017 has to offer regarding golf and we hope we can help find you the perfect set for you!
